Dan,
Palak Patel impressed everyone, he had done his homework and gave us more information than all the others put together. Thanks again Dan. It truly was a great experience.
John
Dan,
Here's what I came away with on changes in Hollywood: Query letters are almost a thing of the past. Managers will be more helpful than agents with non-produced writers. Being from out of town is still open for discussion. Some say bad, some say okay. It IS who you know, not what you know (unless you're a really bad writer) contacts, contact, contacts. Thanks, Dan, for all you did.
Carol
Hi Dan,
The execs that you invited were top notch and from some of the biggest companies around town. The knowledge they imparted was priceless. The contacts and relationships we all gained from that weekend are priceless. If each of us obtained even just one producer, manager or agent from that weekend that we can send our scripts to - then it was all worthwhile!
Ed
Yo,
I liked the speakers and you did a fine job organizing and putting us in front of the kind of people that if you are lucky enough to have the right material can make something happen, you just never know. So it's off to writing my next Urban Romantic Comedy with a Female lead with a horror twist based on a book that is a sequel to a prequel adapted from real life.
Thanks,
Gary
Greetings!
Thank you Dan. I have been writing for about ten years. This weekend, the light went on. This weekend, I finally got it. Nah, can't be that simple. I might need another weekend. Thank you again for a solid career opportunity for serious writers.
Barb
Dan,
An EXCEPTIONAL OPPORTUNITY! For all the personal reasons I selected Sunset Script as my first foray into Hollywood, they proved to be an immeasurable beginning. I found myself amongst a group of serious and talented artists contributing themselves. Overall, I believe everyone contributed significantly to the weekend by giving us many perspectives and so many different options. I have more questions now and will attend another session!
Gillian
Dan,
My two cents for what it's worth: After following up with everyone, both Benderspink and Fortress requested my script. Fingers crossed!
Tina
Hi Dan,
I am inspired after the immersion weekend from the number of invitations to submit my work and the quality of the speakers we had.
George
Hey Dan!
I had a great time over there with you guys. It was just what I needed to confirm to myself that this was the right path for me. I have come out of this with a number of people wanting to read my work, and a collection of the finest writing friends around. Thank you Dan for everything, the trip was made a lot less stressful by your careful planning, and willingness and desire to see us succeed. We will not let you down. Until then, The Gecko, is outta here.
James from London
Dan,
I thought the weekend was awesome. Thanks Dan for all your planning, I learned more this weekend than I did in a year of film school.
Noelle
Dear Dan,
I will say it again, thanks for an awesome weekend of contacts and information. Our conversation has assisted me in developing a broader strategy. I would like to stay in touch, and I am thinking of attending the Washington event.
Best and warm regards,
Gillian

Sunset Script helps producers find the needle in the haystack.
Alison Owen, Producer
Ruby Films (Shaun of the Dead, Elizabeth)
This is an amazing resource for screenwriters.
Zak Kadison, Producer
Gold Circle Films (My Big Fat Greek Wedding, White Noise)
Sheila Gallien has been an invaluable contributor in the development of some wonderful screenplays here at Fox. I treasure her input and find her knowledge of story and character to be a tremendous asset in our process, especially in high-pressure situations. I recommended her with the utmost confidence!
Elizabeth Gabler, President Production
Fox 2000
I knew something was not right with the structure of my second act, but couldnÕt put my finger on it. The development person at Sunset Script wrote amazingly useful and valuable script notes and pin pointed a key flaw that fixed everything in the second act and even gave me an amazing idea that Iam going to use for the ending. Thanks a million (a million bucks after I sell this, that is)!
Mary Halem, Writer
Whether you are un-produced or a seasoned pro, we can all benefit from what Sunset Script has to offer.
Ed Gernon, Producer/Director/Writer
Liberty Films (Hitler: Rise of Evil, Salem Witch Trials, Joan of Arc)
There is the potential of finding some real gems. I honestly believe the potential is there to find some good scripts and some fresh ideas.
Gary Tarpinian, Producer
Morningstar Entertainment (Battlegrounds, Vanished, Billy the Kid)
Living on the East Coast, hanging out at the trendy bars and coffee houses where I hear all the Hollywood schmoozing and deal making apparently takes place is not an option. ThatÕs why I turned to Sunset Script. They gave me amazing notes and even liked my script enough to submit it to lit agents and managers. My foot is in the door!
Joey Smoltz, Writer
Sunset Script provides an invaluable opportunity for writers to "test market" their screenplay with real, working, Hollywood readers BEFORE their work hits the marketplace. Whether you're a novice or a professional, having the ability to hear what the studios will say about your work before it gets exposed to their machinery is a tremendous advantage.
Andy Cohen, Manager
Grade A Entertainment
The readers at Sunset Script have the experience and taste to give dependable, pragmatic advice about how best to execute an idea for the Hollywood marketplace.
Kevin Nicklaus, VP of Development
The Wolper Organization (SalemÕs Lot, Penn and Teller)
Whenever I get anything from Sunset Script, I read it immediately.
Trevor Engelson, Manager
Underground Films and Management
It was not until I submitted my work to a credible script notes website that I received the help I needed to make my work reach its full potential. I have since had several scripts sold to Hollywood's top studios, and Sunset Script provides that same opportunity.
Kevin M. Smith, Writer/Producer
